This coffee table sized book has 192 pages with 45,000 words about Douglas Mawson’s 1911-14 expedition. It includes 117 pages of stunning photographs of the huts and the Cape Denison site. Most of the black and white images were taken by the legendary Frank Hurley, the AAE’s official photographer with the colour photographs by members of the Foundation’s expedition members who worked to save the huts from being blown into the Southern Ocean. Published by Allen and Unwin the book comes in three styles – as this hardback edition, a leather bound limited edition, or a soft cover edition.
