Mawson’s Men

Their Legacy

The Australian Antarctic Expedition (AAE) has been proclaimed as the most successful scientific expedition of its era, advancing bounds of human knowledge in one of the most unmapped corners of the globe. In the cause of science, the men of the expedition quietly made breakthroughs in Antarctic geology, biology, meteorology, magnetism and oceanography.
