The 2024 Festival Program

Experience Antarctica

The Australian Antarctic Festival presents a four-day program of offerings including exhibitions, tours, displays, a gala dinner and lectures, almost all of it completely free to the public. We invite you to visit the gateway city of Hobart to experience all the festival has to offer.

The Australian Antarctic Program, the University of Tasmania’s Institute for Marine and Antarctic Studies, the CSIRO, the Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery, the Tasmanian Polar Network and Mawson’s Hut Replica are all featured during the festival which centres around a major Antarctic exhibition, free to the public, at Princes Wharf One situated on Hobart’s magnificent waterfront.
