KAP video image processingUsing Chris’ first attempt at KAP video (1280x720px @ 25fps) we can generate large numbers of image sequences suitable for panorama stitching. The visual results are quite stunning, though they are naturally at lower resolution than that created using still images – and thus not so useful for visual assessments such as artefact scatter analysis. However, they provide interesting new views on the broad relationships between objects in the environment.
The next step is to work with still image sequences at higher resolution and see if we can set up image-processing techniques to highlight artefact scatter and other interesting and useful features.
The two images you see here are generated from 31 and 96 frames respectively, using a Mercator projection.
best,
Peter
